Welcome to Fostering First International
Fostering First International provides fostering services in Europe, South East Asia, Australasia and North America, working in partnership with the public authorities responsible for child protection and out of home care. Our unique model of foster care, Team Parenting™, is a resilience-based system of care that offers positive experiences to a whole range of children and young people across the globe.
We are child-centred and carer-focused; our approach to foster care has the child’s needs, as well as the needs of our foster carers, firmly at the centre of everything we do.
Fostering First International was founded upon the experience of Foster Care Associates (FCA), the largest independent provider of foster care for children in the UK. From its foundation in 1994 until today, FCA has grown both in capability and scope, and fostered over 7,500 children.
Our international portfolio of fostering organisations has grown to incorporate fostering brands worldwide, delivering positive outcomes in four continents.
Core Assets Group Limited, the parent company of Fostering First International, provides a sound infrastructure of support, expertise and governance and enables a sharing of evidence-based best practice across the group.
“The basic needs of children and their foster carers the world over are the same, particularly those in public care. Everything that we do is driven by the needs of children.”
Estella Abraham, CEO Fostering First International.
Our highly acclaimed, systemic model of fostering, Team Parenting™, is influencing the shape of foster care throughout the world. Our goal is to develop and maintain our knowledge and experience in new jurisdictions, improving the outcomes of children in out of home care.
